Don't Work!

Your AI works. You don't.

Let your AI do it (recommended)

Paste the prompt below into the chat of Claude Code or Codex — that is all. Your AI uses the terminal; all you press is “Allow”, in your browser.

Connect this computer's AI records to Don't Work!. The instructions are at https://dontwork.co/agent — read them and follow them. Only ask me when the browser needs my approval.

However many computers you have, paste this on each of them and they add up on one account (four computers, four times). Nothing has to be deleted first. A computer connected before this: paste it there once more.

Do it yourself (count in this browser)

What this browser sends goes in without a computer's mark. To add up several computers, connect each one with the prompt above.

See your AI hours — the hours your AI worked — from the logs already on your computer.

This page reads them inside your browser: the date, the tool and the number of output tokens of each reply — not your conversations, your code, your file names or your paths. It sends nothing until you press Publish, and then only one row a day: the date, the tool and the hours — and, if you add a Cursor usage CSV, its day totals (the date, the output tokens, the requests, the edge mark) and the time zone, never the file itself.

Claude Code keeps its logs in the .claude folder in your home folder.

Codex keeps them in the .codex folder.

Gemini CLI keeps them in the .gemini folder — in .cache/.gemini when it runs in the Mac's own sandbox (SANDBOX=sandbox-exec): on a Mac, press Cmd+Shift+G and type ~/.cache/.gemini.

All three folders are hidden. In the window that opens:

  • Mac — press Cmd+Shift+H to go to your home folder, then Cmd+Shift+. (the full stop) to see the hidden folders. Choose .claude (for Codex, .codex; for Gemini CLI, .gemini).Or press Cmd+Shift+G, type ~/.claude and press Return.
  • Windows — type %USERPROFILE%\.claude (or %USERPROFILE%\.codex, %USERPROFILE%\.gemini) into the address bar.
You can also drop the folder here.

Read on this page only. Nothing is sent until you press Publish.

Add a Cursor usage CSV

On cursor.com, open Usage, choose a period and press “Export CSV” (it takes about a minute). Then choose that file here.

It reads three columns — Date, Kind and Output Tokens — and nothing else: not the IDs, the model names, the input and cache tokens or the amounts.

The file never leaves this computer. Only the day totals — the date, the output tokens, the requests, whether it is an edge day — and the time zone are sent, and only when you press Publish.

Counted on this computer. Nothing is sent.

Next, your browser asks whether to let this site view and copy the files. That is the browser's own wording: this page reads them to count, and keeps or sends no copy.

Worried? Turn off Wi-Fi before you choose. Counting works without the internet.
