Terms of Use
Published: October 25, 2026 (revised October 26, 2026)
These terms are the agreement between you and Apps Inc. (株式会社アップス, "we") for Don't Work! — dontwork.co and its connector tool (the "service"). They apply to you from the moment you accept them when signing in. If you were already using the service before they were published, we will ask you to accept them inside the service, and they apply to you only once you have accepted them.
1. What the service is
- A free service that counts how much the AI tools on your computer (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and others) worked — as "AI hours", from the records those tools keep — and shows it on a profile and a leaderboard. It also has a companion (a small creature that lives with your AI's records), a room, a gacha and other play, plus friends and a feed.
- The numbers are counted and sent by the connector tool you install, from records on your own computer. We do not check or guarantee them. They make your AI's work visible; they are not proof of skill or results. If you use them in a résumé or elsewhere, do so knowing that.
- The service is still small and is improved every day from what its users tell us. Features, looks and counting rules may change without notice.
2. Your account
- You sign in with a GitHub or X account. One account per person.
- You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, use the service with the consent of a parent or other legal guardian.
- You are responsible for keeping your connector key (token) secure. Do not hand it to anyone. You can revoke a key at any time under Settings › Connected computers.
- You can delete your account and all your records at any time from Settings. You can cancel for 24 hours after asking; after that, a scheduled run (normally within an hour) erases them, and keeps trying until it succeeds.
3. Who can see what
- You choose who may see your name, AI hours, lines, companion and the rest: only you, your friends, or everyone (Settings › visibility). If you publish from /connect/ without having chosen, your visibility is set to everyone.
- Pages and the leaderboard set to everyone can be read by anyone, signed in or not — including recruiters and companies — and may appear in search engines. Write only what you are fine with being public.
- People set to only-me or friends still count toward the leaderboard's totals and ranks, but their name, hours and picture are not shown.
4. What you write
- Your lines (the day's line, the week's line), your display name, your companion's name and the like are yours. We use them only as needed to show them within the visibility you chose.
- Do not write other people's personal information, words that hurt others, unlawful content, or advertising and solicitation. Do not put contact details (email addresses, phone numbers, social-media handles), URLs or other people's personal information in any field; the week's line also refuses the forms @ and ://. We may hide or remove content that breaks these rules without notice.
5. What you must not do
- Fabricate or alter records (sending numbers by any means other than the connector, making records up, and the like).
- Impersonate someone, or use another person's account or key.
- Disrupt the service or other users (flooding, scraping, exploiting vulnerabilities, and the like).
- Collect other users' information and use it for sales, solicitation, recruiting or similar without their consent.
- Break the law or public order.
6. Play (coins, tickets, items)
- Coins, gacha tickets, companions, furniture, costumes, paints, accessories, BGM and the like are play inside the service only. They cannot be bought with money, sold, cashed out or transferred.
- Their contents, odds and ways of obtaining may change. Limited-time items stop appearing when their period ends.
- Play never affects the leaderboard. The leaderboard is decided by AI hours alone.
- The next stage of your home can also be taken on a coin loan. It is repaid only in in-service coins — half of the hourly pay goes to it automatically — and the next stage waits until it is paid. No cash is ever charged, no interest, no deadline, nothing is taken back.
7. Hiring and job referrals
- The service does not currently offer hiring or job-placement services. We do not pass your profile or contact details to companies or recruiters for hiring or sales purposes. What anyone can see under the visibility you chose, and the processing we entrust to providers to run the service, are different things.
- If we build such a feature in the future, we will ask for your separate, explicit consent. Accepting these terms is not that consent.
8. Our responsibility
- The service is free and provided as is. We do not promise that it is always available, that records are never lost, or that the numbers are correct.
- We are liable, as the law provides, for damage caused to you by a cause attributable to us.
- We may suspend, change or end all or part of the service, with notice — or without it in an emergency. If we end the service, we will try to tell you as far ahead as we can.
9. Suspension
If we judge, on reasonable grounds, that you have broken these terms, we may — to the extent necessary — restrict what is shown, suspend your account or delete it. Except in an emergency, we will try to tell you first.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms where the change is in the general interest of users, or where it does not go against the purpose of the service and is reasonable in light of the need for the change, the appropriateness of the new terms and the other circumstances (as Japan's Civil Code provides for standard terms). Before a change takes effect, we post the date it takes effect and what changes on this page; for major changes we also say so inside the service.
11. Governing law and court
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Osaka District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute about the service.
